Akiba is a private school which was started in 1993 to serve residents of Kangemi and its environs with a quality Christian education. The school is a mixed day school offering the Kenyan system of education.
Akiba School offers Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) which is learner centred which has four levels of education;
Pre-Primary(playgroup, Pre-Primary One and Pre-Primary two)
Lower primary (Grade 1,2&3)
Upper primary (Grade 4,5 &6)
Junior School/Secondary(Grade 7,8&9)
In addition to encouraging academic excellence, Akiba molds children’s social, spiritual, cultural, moral, and intellectual development for upright and integral character formation. The school is registered by the Kenya Government through the Ministry of Education as a Private Educational Institution.
Akiba hosts science and computer labs as well as a library and language and music classes.
